Terms & privacy

Welcome to www.caviarpop.com (the "Website"), operated by World Caviar House Pte. Ltd. (the "Company", "we", "our" or "us"). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these terms and conditions (the "Terms of Use"). If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Website.

Orders, delivery and returns

• All prices are displayed in Singapore dollars. World Caviar House Pte. Ltd. is not registered for GST, so no GST is added to your order. Delivery charges, if any, are shown before you place your order.
• Orders are subject to product availability and acceptance by World Caviar House Pte. Ltd. An automated acknowledgement of an order does not by itself constitute acceptance; a contract is formed when we confirm your order or dispatch it. If we are unable to accept an order, we will let you know and refund any payment in full.
• Cancellation. You may cancel your order at any time before it has been dispatched by contacting us on WhatsApp or by email, and we will refund your payment in full to the original payment method.
• Our delivery arrangements, storage guidance and returns procedure are set out on our Help & Info page, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference.
• Due to the perishable nature of caviar, we do not ordinarily accept returns or exchanges for change of mind after delivery.
• Please inspect your order promptly on delivery and report any incorrect, damaged or potentially defective products as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours, so that we can investigate while the relevant evidence is available. This recommended period does not exclude or restrict any statutory rights or remedies available under Singapore law.
• Where there is any inconsistency between these Terms of Use and the Help & Info page, these Terms of Use prevail, subject always to applicable law.

Use of the Website

• Account responsibility. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your account details and password confidential, and for all activity under your account.
• Prohibited conduct. You agree not to use the Website for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that could damage, disable or impair the Website.

Intellectual property

All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, images and software, belongs to World Caviar House Pte. Ltd. or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and trade mark laws. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

• The Website. The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that access to the Website will be uninterrupted or error-free. This does not affect our obligations regarding the quality of the products we sell.
• Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, World Caviar House Pte. Ltd. shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Website.
• Your statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, and nothing affects the statutory rights and remedies available to consumers under Singapore law, including rights relating to goods that do not conform to the contract.

Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore.

Changes

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update.

World Caviar House Pte. Ltd. is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Personal data we collect

• When you order or create an account: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and order details.
• When you contact us by WhatsApp, email or through the Website: your messages and contact details.
• Gift recipients. If you send an order to someone else, we use their name, address and phone number only to deliver it. Please make sure they are happy for you to share these details with us.
• When you browse the Website: information about your visit, such as the pages you view, collected through cookies (see Cookies below).
• Payment details are entered directly with our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.

How we use your personal data

• To process, deliver and support your orders, including arranging delivery with our delivery partners.
• To communicate with you about your orders, your account and your enquiries.
• To keep records required by law, for example accounting and tax records.
• To improve the Website and our service.
• To send you news and offers — only as described under Marketing below.

Marketing communications

• We may send you marketing communications about our products, special offers and promotions by email, SMS or WhatsApp where you have provided valid consent, or where such communications are otherwise permitted under applicable Singapore law.
• Marketing consent is optional and is not required to place an order or purchase our products.
• Where applicable, we comply with the Do Not Call provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, including the requirements concerning consent, the Do Not Call Registers, sender identification and opt-out requests.
• You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails, replying "STOP" where supported, or contacting us at caviar@caviarpop.com. We will cease marketing communications through the relevant channels as soon as reasonably practicable.
• We may keep a limited record of your opt-out preferences to make sure you do not receive unwanted marketing communications.

Advertising and personalised marketing

• We may use services provided by Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and other advertising partners to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to display relevant advertisements.
• These services use cookies and similar technologies on the Website, for example to show our advertisements to people who have visited it.
• When you place an order, these services may receive limited order information, which may include your email address or phone number in encrypted (hashed) form, so that we can measure the results of our advertising.
• We do not upload our customer lists, such as lists of email addresses or phone numbers, to advertising platforms to create advertising audiences.
• Where consent is required under applicable law, we obtain appropriate consent before using personal data for personalised advertising or remarketing.
• You can manage personalised advertising in your Google and Meta account settings, or contact our Data Protection Officer at caviar@caviarpop.com.

Who we share personal data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run our business, such as delivery partners, our payment provider, website hosting, email and messaging services, and analytics and advertising services — only as needed for their service.
• Authorities, where required by law.

Transfers outside Singapore

Some of our service providers may store or process personal data outside Singapore. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your data receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA.

Protection and retention

• We use reasonable security arrangements to protect your personal data, and access is limited to authorised personnel.
• We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law — for example, order and accounting records are kept for the period required by Singapore tax law, currently at least five years — after which it is deleted or anonymised.
• If a data breach is likely to cause significant harm, we will notify the affected individuals and the Personal Data Protection Commission as required by law.

• Access and correction. You may ask us what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used, and ask us to correct it.
• Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw your consent to our use of your personal data at any time, including for marketing. If this affects our ability to complete an order, we will let you know.
• How to make a request. Write to our Data Protection Officer at caviar@caviarpop.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity.
• Response time. We respond to access and correction requests as soon as reasonably possible. If we are unable to respond within 30 calendar days of receiving your request, we will notify you in writing within that period and tell you when we expect to respond. Requests are subject to the applicable requirements and exceptions under the PDPA.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use them as follows:

• Essential cookies make the Website work, for example to keep items in your cart and to process your order.
• Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) help us understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it.
• Advertising cookies (such as the Meta Pixel and Google advertising tags) help us measure our advertising and show relevant advertisements.

Where required under applicable law, we will obtain your consent before using non-essential cookies or tracking technologies that collect, use or disclose personal data for analytics or personalised advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage personalised advertising in your Google and Meta account settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Website, such as the cart and checkout.

For any questions about these terms, or any requests relating to your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer.
